From the unremitting energy of the cities delve into the immense natural beauty of the Annapurna region, which offers some of the world’s best trekking.  A 9-day trek takes you deep into the Himalaya, with gradual ascents along riverbanks and through forests of oak and rhododendron.  Reach open meadows with grazing yaks and unforgettable vistas of some of the most dramatic peaks on Earth!  All the while, experience life among remote ethnic Gurung villages, meet the friendly Nepalis and enjoy their wholesome dal bhat (rice and lentils).  Stay in charming lodges along the way built by enterprising villagers.  Interact with the local people and learn about the lifestyles of the Nepalese.


After descending the Himalayan slopes, a scenic raft trip brings you to one of Asia’s richest wildlife sanctuaries at Chitwan National Park.  Enjoy elephant safaris, jungle hikes, and dugout canoe rides while viewing the rare one-horned rhinoceros, over 400 species of exotic birds, sloth bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles and the elusive Royal Bengal tiger!
